Things to do in Tenerife in March 2012

What to expect

Most days in the South of the island temperatures hover around the 23°C mark with the odd day each week climbing up to 26°C to 27°C.  Evenings are still cool so you will need a cardi or long sleeved shirt to keep the chill away.  In the north expect averages of around 15°C or 16°C  with highs of 19°C-20°C

March Highlights

Carnaval is not quite over yet so if you missed the main event in Santa Cruz there is still Los Cristianos and the smaller version in Los Gigantes to look forward to.

3^rd – 4^th Slalom Championships Wind and Kite Race Canarias Open Championship, to be held on the beach at El Medano.  24^th – 25^th Canary Kite Championship Race to be held on the beach, depending on weather conditions could held the following week on March 31 and April 1.
