Holidays are Coming

Some of you who read Queenies Daily Snippets may know that I am going on holiday for a few weeks.  We have a time-share in Florida which we have had for around 15 years.  After our little home here in Tenerife it feels enormous as it 1,285 square feet of luxury and sleeps up to eight comfortably.   We will be visiting with the family and racing around the theme parks like big kids. I will be taking my netbook to make notes of what we get up to and tell you about it on our return.

I admit I’m an atheist who loves Christmas. I love it so much, I put my tree up on 1st December, I love the joy of buying gifts and the excuse to eat lots of delicious food. I particularly love the amount of effort that Americans put into the holiday season – Yes it is excessive, over the top and perhaps in these hard times extreme but once a year I can live with that.  However you celebrate this December, enjoy it, be safe, and have fun with your family and friends and I’ll see y’all when I get back!!

So jealous! All that sunshine and Disney too! Hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy the break, Will hopefully update my blog in the next couple of weeks with all the news from here and look forward to your blog when you get back.

I’m an agnostic with atheist leanings but I appreciate the reason why we celebrate Christmas and I cry at Christmas Carols and watching children in their Nativity or Christmas plays always reduces me to a blubbering wreck. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas is my favourite Christmas song and again, hankies at the ready LOL!

Once Christmas is over its only about 12 weeks till I’m back in Tenerife so loads to look forward to. I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and hope Santa brings you lots of lovely things. xxx
