Red Hot and Blues

I appreciate there is a lot of hard work necessary to being successful, nothing happens by chance.  Some good entertainers work for years without seeing any success while relative newcomers are recognised almost immediately.

This seems to be the case with Tenerife’s own Traveller Blues Band.  They have been together less than 6 months and their style is to mix classic rock and blues with a few of their own self-penned songs.   Together with their eclectic collection of instruments,  weissenborn, trumpet, harmonica, cigar-box, various steel, electric and acoustic guitars, drums and even a cajon their sound is totally unique.  They are not only getting a good following around the island but their fame is spreading world-wide.

Their first single The Crossing Roads, a self composed number, was accepted by ITunes at the end of September a major feat in itself, but less than a month later their album Live At The Plaza Square has also been accepted.  You can tell by the sound this band makes they are well rehearsed but rehearsal alone in my opinion does not make a good or successful band, you also need the right chemistry, close attention to detail, personality and amiability.  This band has it in spades, they connect with their audience and the audience connect with them. Is this what is meant by having the X-factor?

Live at the Plaza Square is now available for download to your Iphone, IPods and other digital devices.
