A Little Bit of Tolerance

“Whether or not one is a believer is not important : what is important is to be Tolerant” – Dalai Lama

On our last visit to  La Cite, we admired a series of sculptures by the artist Guy Ferrer. Each sculpture is a letter and form the word ‘TOLERANCE’ that stands around 2m high.

They are located in front of the main entrance and represent how different letters from different cultures and religions when brought together can form a word with a simple message and that different cultures can co-exist in peace and harmony.

I think the artist intends you to examine the individual letters and how they sit together to deliver a message that tolerance is required by all for the world to progress. Well that’s my take on what he is saying. There’s more information Here
