Tenerife’s Full Monty

Earlier this week I had a visit from Beccy McGhie the lady that does my nails. As well as running her own business Feeling Fabulous Beccy teaches zumba and is a dance teacher at Spacio10 Spa. On top of all this she was telling me that she is now doing the choreography for a really special event.

The Ladies Full Monty in Tenerife.

This is going to be something special on the island as it is in aid of F.A.C.T. the volunteer group that provides support to cancer sufferers and who rely purely on fundraising and donations for the valuable work they carry out.

There are 7 ladies involved in the show, all have personal experience of cancer in various forms. Beccy is in charge of helping them to forget their inhibitions as naturally they are all slightly nervous because they want to do a really good job, and whipping them into shape as dancers to the song “This Is Me”

The show will take place on the 27th and 28th October at Showtime Tenerife where closer to the time tickets will be on sale.

It is promising to be an unforgettable evening, with many performers, brought together by Jacqui Peters who started the ball rolling with the idea for this worthwhile cause and is putting tremendous effort into organising this event.

The show is not meant to be a fundraising vehicle for cancer research but instead to raise much needed funds for FACT and the people who help sufferers of this dreadful disease as well as raising awareness about cancer and encouraging people to make vital health checks which can save lives.

I hope that locals and tourists alike support this show and make it a major success, particularly given it is unknown territory for our small island.

If you can´t make the show, there will also be a 2019 calendar produced with 12 ladies to remind you each day of the year of this incredibly important issue.
