Hello, Can you please recommend a nice christmas dinner resturant. We are a family of about 10 people staying in Costa Adeje. Would like something “not so english”….but happy if thats available too. What do people normally do christmas day there?

    • Hi, If I am on the island and not with family I cook my own so can’t really recommend anywhere. I would suggest you ask on Facebook in the group Tenerife 4 All or on Tripadviser. Sorry can´t be more helpful. 😦

    Hi there,

I am coming to Los Cristianos on Thursday (have done for the last couple of years and love it!) I often use your blog to check out the weather and read your reviews!
I was wondering if you can recommend your favourite Indian restaurant in the area as you seem keen on that cuisine? We’ve never tried one in Tenerife as it’s hard to tell which would be nice.
We’re also looking for a nice steak restaurant.
Our favourite tapas is at The Hideaway pub (delicious and reasonable, if you haven’t been do give it a try!), but any other recommendations would be fab. I’m not a big fish eater so meatier tapas places I prefer.
We’re happy to walk further down the coast too into LA or get a cab to Adeje but we don’t have a car so nowehere to far out in the sticks preferably!
The other thing is we’ve ventured a lot into LC and Las Americas but not much into Adeje. We went to a small port area and had dinner but it seemed very small with not loads going on and we definitely think we’re missing a trick! Where would you recommend as areas in Adeje for nightlife/bars and restaurants or any particular roads with lots of places to explore?

Thanks and hope you can help!

    Lauren

    • We love Sher E Punjab, which is in Fontanta Square close to Los Cristianos harbour https://redqueenmusings.wordpress.com/2014/09/09/sher-e-punjab-los-cristianos-tenerife/. I’m not a great lover of fish either so glad you didn´t want a place for seafood. One place you will get nice tapas as well as great views is in the San Telmo area which sits above Las Vistas beach, all the restaurants on the upper (street) level are worth a visit. You will probably find something that takes your fancy along there. Steaks can be a bit hit and miss, we have had good ones in the restaurant in Tenerife Royal Garden but also in Restaurant Margarite near the Paradise Park hotel.

Thanks so much for getting back to me, this is really helpful and I can’t wait to try out your Indian restaurant recommendation.
If you have any more time, would you be able to let me know where is the best place in Adeje to head for bars and restaurants as we’re not sure where to head/tell the taxi driver to take us – we’d like lively or if not lively then just plenty of bars to choose from preferably.
Otherwise, where would you recommend a day trip to that’s in the south, away from LC,PDLA & Adeje that’s good to spend a day looking around, maybe a spot of shopping, maybe pretty cobbled streets or pretty in general? We feel like venturing out a bit this year!
        Have a great week!
        Lauren

      • Puerto Colon used to be good, as does the Parque la Paz strip, I don´t tend to go to bars in the resorts so not really the best person to recommend. but day trips, I would suggest you take the bus to Candelaria, you will get the cobbled streets as well as a bit of shopping. Of course closer to the resorts the new Siam Mall is lovely

      • Lauren says:

Thanks very much for this, really useful information. Will definitely give the Indian restaurant a go too.

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me out. We are staying in Costa Adeje next month (our 2nd visit) and it’s my bf’s 40th birthday so would like to take him to a really nice romantic restaurant. Our fav so far is the one attached to the Mirador, but we eat in there a lot so wanted something a little different. Any ideas? I don’t mind catching a taxi

HI. I like reading your blog it’s very good. Lot’s of good information about Tenerife. I would like to recoment you to try out the Monaco restaurant in Puerto Colon. The food is not just good it’s very delicious good. And in the evening the live entertaintment is on by a very good guitarist and singer, doing many styles country, rock’n roll, pop, Irish trads and more. Hope you will like it as much as we do.

Ok thank you we will have to try and find out more about it.All so last January we went to a restaurant at Buzenada you go through the roundabout on the old Valle San Lorenzo road, the restaurant is on the right hand side not very far up I think it may be called Lunar 13 When we was over in September we tried twice and it was closed do you no anything about it.My hairdresser said it may just be open for the winter months. It was very busy when we went.
Thank you once again, and have a nice day,

Hola we have been recommended a restaurant called Chiringuito in Valle San Lorenzo .it was at one time a garage but as one been turned into a restaurant .do you have any info about it and it’s location

    • Not heard of it Ann, the only Chiringuito I know is the beach bar but if you eat there it let me know what you think, it is always good to have some ideas of different places to try. 🙂

Hi. It is as you are coming out of VSL. The sign for the next village is on the left. Take a sharp left before the sign Roque De jama . you will see a large blue house at the top of a steep hill it is behind that. First left up the hill. Owned by a Canarian couple.. Very rustic but worth a visit..
